'POSSUM RIDERS 2006
This is the group that braved the darkness and went on the 2006 'Possum Ride.
THE NEXT 'POSSUM RIDE is ...
SATURDAY, SEPT. 29th, 7 p.m.
Arrive at 6:30 to get ready, sign in, and be ready to roll at 7 p.m.
'Possum Ride leader is Bill Taafe (photo center, black shirt) of Spokes N Skis in Lakemont.
Ride leaves from Williamsburg Trailhead. Bring a flashlight in chase the full moon is hidden by some clouds. May need warm clothing for the nighttime ride.
EARLY MORNING BIKERS
stop for a rest, coffee break, and chit-chat with other bikers. You're liable to see any of these faithful bikers on the trail almost any morning that the weather permits.
Check out the 1950's Schwinn bikes with the whitewall tires, fenders, chain guards, luggage rack, basket, horns, lights - as compared to the 2007 model on the left (the bike, that is!). Bike and owner are on the trail for its first ride.
The Goodman's restored their '50's Schwinn bikes themselves and proudly ride them on the trail.
